2024 Election of Officials Notice

The Nominating Committee has submitted the following names to be considered in the election of Board Officials to be announced at the 2024 Annual Meeting to be held at 3 PM on July 30th at Family Trust Federal Credit Union, 225 W. White St., Rock Hill:
Brown Simpson
Brown Simpson, Jr. is the Parks & Recreation Director for the Town of Fort Mill. He has been a volunteer firefighter with the Oakdale Fire Department for 39 years. Brown is passionate about high school sports, and serves on the Lancaster Softball District Officials for the SC High School League, the Steering Committee for the York County Sports Hall of Fame, officiates softball and volleyball, broadcasts high school football for WRHI, and is a member of the OTS Sports Wall of Fame. Brown has served on the Family Trust Board of Directors for 16 years and was Board Chairman from 2013 to 2023. He has been a member of the Credit Union for 35 years.
Chrissy Catoe
Chrissy Catoe is the owner of USA Insulation. A Rock Hill native, she has served on local initiatives and non-profit boards, including the Rock Hill Schools Education Foundation and the Boys & Girls Clubs of York County. She was previously employed with Family Trust Federal Credit Union from 1999 to 2013. During this time, she served as a Teller, Marketing Manager, and eventually the Vice President of Marketing, Community Relations, and Business Development. Chrissy has served on the Family Trust Board of Directors since 2018, and has been a member of the Credit Union for 28 years.
Trina Ricks: Trina Ricks is the owner of Drug Testing Made EZ, LLC. She has served on the Rock Hill Education Foundation Board, ChristmasVille Board, Central City Optimist Club, and was a founding member of B.E.L.L. (Black Economic Leadership League of Rock Hill). Trina also volunteered for Toys for Happiness and currently serves on the boards for Heart2Heart Foundation and Liv to Gro. Trina has served on the Family Trust Board of Directors for three years. She previously served on the Asset and Liability Committee and the Technology Committee. Prior to her service as director, she served for three years on the Family Trust Supervisory Committee. Trina has been a member of the Credit Union for 21 years.
Johnny Walker: Johnny Walker was employed with IBM in Charlotte, NC for 37 years, and briefly contracted with the Federal Reserve Bank before retiring. In the last 15 years of his career, Johnny worked closely with the Federal Reserve and other financial institutions to implement IBM’s software used to run Check and ACH processing systems. Johnny has served as Chairman of the SC Make-A-Wish Foundation for two years, volunteers with the Boy Scouts of America, and is a member of the Bethesda Presbyterian Church Session. Johnny has served on Family Trust’s Board of Directors for three years. He has previously served on the Supervisory Committee and was an Associate Director. Johnny has been a member of the credit union for 24 years.
No nominations were received via petition. As a result, the individuals named above will be automatically elected by acclamation at the 2024 Annual Meeting.
